Sock Eater

Published by Julie under Uncategorized

Ever felt like there was a sock demon in your laundry room stealing only one sock of the pair?  After seeing all the single socks that Jonah had this morning I was determined to hunt down that demon and I did!  I found out that my Whirlpool Duet front loading washing machine has been taking Jonah’s socks.  Literally since the time he was born!

I’m not sure why I didn’t realize it before (and maybe there’s already documented info about this online, I never checked) but baby socks and washcloths apparently get stuck inside the rubber gasket that lines the front rim of my washer and it was full today!  Some of the socks I pulled out of there were some of the first ones Jonah had when he was first born meaning that they have been there for at least a year if not more.  Luckily, I also found the current sized socks that I went in there looking for.

So if any one else has our same washer, beware.  Note that it only seems to apply to baby socks, I didn’t find any adult laundry articles in there at all.

I saw the episode of “John and Kate Plus 8″ the other day where they got these same washers and dryers delivered, I wonder if they have the same problem…

Makeup

Most readers know I’m not a makeup person.  MAC Cosmetics made a bit of money on me last weekend though when I went out to buy makeup to cover up the black eye that Jonah gave.  It’s the result of him headbutting me in just the right spot.  I don’t think he meant to hurt me but I’m looking forward to him growing out of this headbutting phase.  Meanwhile I’m getting much better at wearing makeup.

Shop till You Drop

Published by Julie under Uncategorized

Poor Jonah has been cooped up in so much this winter because of the bad weather, he was looking for anything to get him out of the house on this day.

He literally grabbed my coat and asked for help putting it on. Once it was on he grabbed that shopping bad and tried to open the front door!
