Jonah loves his Aunt Amy a lot. He doesn’t see her all the time but he talks about her all the time. He knows all the clothes and toys that she’s given him. I think it’s one of the first names he learned how to say. He loves his other aunts too of course, but Heather and Kelley are harder to say.
In this video he asked Daddy to take him to “Amy’s Home.” She lives downstate though so that would be quite a trip on his hands and knees! Good thing she’ll be visiting us here in a couple weeks.
Jonah really is a sweet kid. We’ve had a few babies come to visit over the last couple months and he seems to love it. He wants to hug them and bring them toys. We let them sit in Jonah’s high chair and he sits in a different one we have. In the days after they leave he’s always talking about how the baby sat here (pointing to his chair).
After one of those visits he was playing with his dress-up doll, “Jake” and decided that he was hungry. Jonah put Jake in his high chair then ran to his kitchen to get a little cup and a spoon to feed Jake. It was really cute. I think this kid has a good imagination.
Jonah is leaning how to kiss. Well…a real kiss that is…with a pucker. Up until now if you asked him for a kiss he’d touch his mouth to your face but that’s about it. Now he’s starting to actually put his lips into a pucker. There’s no sound involved but it is the right idea.
Tonight we were playing a new game that he and his Papa thought up which involves him running full speed towards me down our long hallway. Papa would pick him up when he got to him but he killed his back that way and I’m not silly enough to make the same mistake so I had Jonah run into my arms and give me a kiss. After a few demands for a kiss he started running down the hall towards me with his lips already in the pucker. It was very cute.
I’m not fast enough to get the camera though so you’ll just have to take my word for it.
